Part I in Aubrey's never-ending quest to be friends with all living creatures:
The best $7 I've spent on Aubrey - a bag of 1700 live ladybugs. We went to buy some plants and I saw this at the counter. They're supposed to eat other bugs that eat your plants (our cannas!!). So I bought it and Aubrey wanted to hold it on the way home. And of course she couldn't wait to open the bag once we got home. The bugs crawled all over her and she had a blast for the next 3 hours.
Charlotte is 5 months old! So crazy. Still the best baby ever. She slept all the way through the night last night. 10PM to 6:30AM. Ahhhhh.........
At 5 months she: loves oatmeal (we just added a swirl of bananas!), can stand as long as she wants as long as we help her balance, is just about sitting up, loves to talk and gurgle, wants to be asleep around 7:30 or she gets REALLY upset, loves to take baths with her sister and kick and splash around, and always wants to smile and smile and smile!
Part II in Aubrey's never-ending quest to be friends with all living creatures: I caught a lizard the other day. He didn't move much. I think he was old and headed for the great fly hunting ground in the sky. Aubrey was thrilled. We put him on this leaf, he sat there and Aubrey talked to him for the next hour or so. She would get close...he'd just look at her. She'd try and feed him a flower. He wouldn't move. "my friend!!" she kept saying.
We left and he was gone when we came back. A week later, everytime we go near these elephant ear leaves she asks about him. "Where is my friend lizard??" "Daddy, go find my friend lizard?"
